I'v ebeen playing piano since I was about 4 years old. I absolutely love music and have made it my life since then. I also play guitar and have played for almost 9 years, but for the past 4 years my main focus has been back on piano. I was a classical student for about 8 years, and then I began Jazz studies. I instantly fell in love with Jazz, and I soon found a new level of expressing mysefl with music. I have now studied under players like Phil Burkhead, Jim Connerley, Phil DeGreg, Brian Hogg, Chris Fitzgerald, Tyrone Wheeler, Ansyn Banks, Tim Sylvester and others. Because of the training I have gone through in Jazz I am creating music from an organic level, meaning I can understand the music that I invision in my head and bring that to life on my instrument. Everyday is different for me and I discover something new every time I sit down at the piano. I love the idea of exploring and finding my sound, I feel that every musician should venture into a world of improvisation in their lifetime. They might find that they had more music inside them than they realized before. My instrument is becoming and extension of my own voice, and I want to be able to communicate with people musically just as well as people hold a conversation orally.
