Flute student at NKU. So far I'm majoring in Music Ed but I'm thinking about switching to a BA. I really like Music History/Literature or Musicology and NKU doesn't really go into great depth on those subjects so I want to pursue it strongly in my graduate studies. Meaning I want to get out of being an undergrad as soon as possible and being a Music Ed major is NOT the way to do that.
I understand it may seem like a bad idea and I don't have job security and all that. But the thing is, I do have job security. And even if I didn't, its not the most important thing in my life. I want to explore and study something I love instead of worrying constantly about "job security". I understand that that's the nineteen year old in me...but I'm probably not going to change my mind even when I'm sixty.
Outside of school I work at an eye doctor as a receptionist and "eye technician". I also have a job at Myra's Dionysus in Clifton. Its got an amazing menu, lots of Mediterranean stuff. You should come visit me..I always feel a lot better being at work when I know someone who is dining there. I don't know why. Next semester I'm teaching Latin at St. Edmund Campion Academy to 5-8 graders so I'm really studying up on it this summer so I don't embarrass myself in front of them. I play flute for lots of masses all over Northern Kentucky and I guess I sort of go to church a lot anyway so I might as well get paid for it...that's terrible. =)
I'm dating Remington Leach. I like to visit him at Starbucks and go to the pub after work where we play Wii baseball and I'm terrible at it. I also like going to the junkyard with him because he drives a big dump truck really well, it makes me proud. Don't tell him I said that, its embarrassing. I'm hoping to move in with Ashley and Allie Steffen next semester and get out of my parent's house where I am staying for the summer.
I love Literature and I read a lot I guess. I also like Philosophy and Greek and Latin. What I really love is food though.
There you have it.

If Peggy westland still teaches in the music department, give her a big hug from Lisa Runion.
That's a really cute picture!
